Nick Bateman was educated at Gordonstoun School, Scotland. After 10 years of working in the city, he found himself in 2000 as an original cast member on the award winning Channel 4 docu-soap Big Brother. Even though Nick was portrayed as the bad guy in the group, it has now become obvious that, without the 'Evil Genius' as The Guardian nicknamed him, the show would not have been worth watching!

Since then he has presented his own show Trust Me, with over 1.8 million viewers. He has guest presented The Big Breakfast, TFI Friday, Film Four Double Takes and BBC's Email Weekend. Nick also starred in the ITV Network commercial for Survivor.

Nick has been a big hit as a guest on numerous TV shows including GMTV, The Late Late Show, Liquid News, Through the Keyhole, Stupid Punts, Banzai and Big Brother’s Bit On The Side to name but a few.

If all this wasn't enough, he has written columns and travel features for The Sun, The Guardian, The Independent, Cosmopolitan, Aware magazine, Now magazine, Low Flying, She magazine, Reading Evening Post, De Vere magazine, Malmaison, Hotel Du Vin and Capital Radio.

Nick has also written a book, How To Be A Complete Bastard, which was published in 2001 and has sold 58,000 copies to date.

He has presented awards at The National Television Awards, the Television and Radio Industry Club Awards and the TV Quick Awards.

Nick has also addressed both the Cambridge and Oxford student union’s and fronted a television campaign for Cancer Research UK and Crisis at Christmas.

He also won The Celebrity Weakest Link and the prize money of £10,000 was donated to Cancer Research.

He starred in Jack and The Beanstalk at the Granville Theatre Ramsgate, Christmas 2011, toured as the Narrator in The Rocky Horror Show, appeared in Back To Reality, has done modelling assignments, obtained his racing driver's licence and writes for magazines.

He also found time in 2007 to marry Lynnette Peck a magazine fashion and beauty journalist. In March 2011 they set up Lovely’s Vintage Emporium (http://www.lovelysvintageemporium.com) an online retail vintage fashion website. He is now an avid collector of vintage cufflinks and watches.

Nick is currently working on his second book, is a presenter for the radio station 107.8 Academy FM (his show is every Sunday from 10am-2pm), is a regular pundit on Sky News and Radio Five Live, has a newspaper blog, does a blog and video diary for AOL and manages his extensive property portfolio. In summer 2010 he competed again, this time on Ultimate Big Brother and was in the final of the show. Plus his personal blog can be found at http://bigbrotherveteran.blogspot.com/
